Independent Verification
Overview
A defining property of Trust Envelopes is that they can be verified by an independent system that did not issue them.
Verification does not require trust in the originating enforcement system. The envelope itself carries sufficient evidence to evaluate integrity, authenticity, and trust-state alignment.
Verification Typically Includes
- Canonical interpretation of envelope contents
- Cryptographic integrity verification
- Signature validation
- Policy or rule-set alignment
- Evaluation of revocation or dependency conditions
